Goals. Goals. Goals.

What are those goals that you want to achieve in the next Financial year?

Where do you see your self in 5 years?

What are your career goals?

What are your relationship goals?

What is that one goal you want to achieve today?

He/she has become a CEO by 25 what are you doing now? What is your life goal?

He is already a father of a two year old, what are you doing by being single?

Our neighbor you know that uncle retired yesterday along with wonderful farewell party after 30 years of service and we were also discussing about how Trump became president at 70, what is your goal beta? Don’t you want to become like him?

Don’t you want to become a father/mother, business man/woman, achiever like him/her?

FYI you might be only 21.

Do you hear these questions regularly? Do you hear these everyday?

Sometimes even every minute from someone in some form

And you WANT TO :

Cringe.

Cry.

Criticize internally and

Can’t show it externally.

What is happening? Why do people think you are in a race with the world?

Sigh.

First, relax.

“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.”

Leo Tolstoy

I know that. You know that. They don’t.

You aren’t late in anything if you are 22 or 27 or 35 or even 50.

You are on time.

You have your own time that’s running for you.

As per that, you are on time.

Just like EST, IST, MST and so on as per how the world timings are you have your own

TIME ZONE. REMEMBER THAT.

You aren’t in a race with others. You are in a race only with yourself.

What’s your time? I ask again. What’s your time?

Think of your goals for the next 2 years at the max. As per your time will you be able to achieve it?

That’s all matters.

5 TIPS FOR EFFECTIVELY ACHEIVING YOUR GOALS AS PER YOUR TIME :

  • Is the goal under your internal control?

If it’s not set it right. The control button should be in your hand to reach the finish line.

  • Don’t set too many goals in everything, are you specific?

Set only one goal for each area of your life and don’t overboard. You won’t achieve it.

  • Can you tweak it whenever you need?

Set goals that are realistic and can be modified as and when with uncertainties.

  • Have you written it?

Write it down. Need to become part of your muscle memory.

  • Is it short and long?

Set goals that can be achieved sooner for the lucidity and traction but at the same time it’s on your radar for long term to reach your destination.

Don’t set tasks, set goals which are part of systems.

“What’s your time as per your goals?”

Think now and walk in your own race.
